Frequently asked questions

How do I book?

I encourage you to book in advance to reserve your date. To book, please message me through the contact details above with your date and keepsake choice. To secure your place a £25 deposit is required which will be deducted from your final total. The final amount is due once I receive your flowers.

Once the deposit has been paid I will provide my address you need to post or drop off to.

I ask for your flowers to be sent out to me ideally no more than 3 days after your wedding or occasion. You can either drop to me if you are local (Yateley, GU46), or you can post them to me with next day delivery.

If you do decide on last minute preservation please pop me a message. I will try my best to accommodate but this isn't always possible in busy periods.

How many flowers do I need to send?

This will depend on what items you are ordering. For larger items or multiple items I would recommend the whole bouquet and in some instances may advise you to send any additional flowers like bridesmaid bouquets or table arrangements.

I always ask for more flowers than needed so that there is plenty to work with and so I can select the best for your pieces.

I will put the best flowers to dry from your bouquet and the amount necessary for your order. Any flowers that have started wilting or browning may not be used.

Can all flowers be preserved?

Before sending your flowers you must understand that some flowers change colour and shape as they dry. Your flowers may darken or change tone and can shrink a little. Some flowers dry better than others.

This is normal and I cannot prevent this. The brighter your flowers, the better chance you have of them keeping their colour. Lighter flowers like white and pink tend to discolour and bruise and reds tend to go a lot darker.

Flowers can bruise (go transparent) in resin, this will depend on how much they have been handled.111

Succulents can't be dried. Berries also dry black and don't retain their original colour.

Lillie's and some orchids are also tricky to dry, some may go brown or yellow. If these are part of your arrangement please manage your expectations of these flowers, ideally these need to be sent within 2 days of the event.

Blue and rainbow roses are fine to cast if they have been stem dyed. If you are unsure just pop me a photo over via email or please ask your florist.

How long does the process take?

My turnaround time for your order starts from the moment I receive your flowers.

Your order can take anything up to 16-18 weeks to be completed depending on how busy I am, the size of your order and due to matters out of my control such as temperature constraints, things going wrong an personal matters such as being unwell.

The flowers take at least 3-4 weeks to dry, after that casting can take anywhere up to 14 weeks.  Please also allow an extra two weeks over Christmas as I take some time out to spend time with my family. I do reserve the right to extend this if needed, I understand you are eager to have your keepsakes back but I don’t like to rush the process :)  I work in order of orders placed and each order takes a different amount of time to complete, so I can only give estimates.

Its difficult to put a timescale on creating such beautiful pieces, I only get your flowers for a few months, but you get to keep them forever.

Do I need to decide what items I want right away?

You have up until I receive the flowers to decide on the items you would like. I need to know before I begin the drying process as your flowers will be dried in a specific way for different items.

When do I need to pay?

If you book in advance. I require a £25 deposit to secure your date. You will be sent an invoice and this will come off your end total.

The remaining balance is due on the day I receive the flowers. You will receive an invoice once they have arrived. Please let me know if you will be going on honeymoon straight away so I can send an invoice over in advance.

Timely payment is crucial for my business as delays have a significant impact. I also don't have much time to keep chasing payments and would like to redirect my time and energy into fulfilling orders.

Late payments will result in your order being delayed.

How do I send my flowers to you?

Please see the tab above where you will find detailed instructions on how to send your flowers to me.

Can I drop off my bouquet and collect my items if I'm local?

Yes you can! Please contact me to arrange a time a few days before the wedding. Please only drop off when it has been pre agreed with me.

Does resin turn yellow?
We use the highest quality casting resin which is UV stabilised and inhibits yellowing, however, if left in direct sunlight this can cause the resin to yellow/amber more quickly. To prolong the resin clarity it’s best to display your item out of direct sunlight or away from heat such as fireplace mantels to avoid this. The sun will always win this battle! Please be aware that ultimately all resin will show signs of degradation and amber over time (it will take on a new vintage style). We cannot take any responsibility for resin pieces that turn yellow/amber after a short period of time as there is no way to know how much UV exposure the items were exposed to while in the client’s possession.

How long will they last once preserved?

If properly cared for, your preserved flowers should last a lifetime! When you receive your finished order, I include a card with care instructions.
